Social Media Team

Updated: Nov 22

We are the creative team of the church, and we are in charge of generating visual and written content and keeping our community informed about what happens in Focus.

To be part of our team, you must have knowledge in different creative areas and be passionate about it. We serve every Sunday and during the week to keep our community active.

If you have fun ideas, you are creative, and not shy to get into people's personal space when creating content, then this is the team for you!

These are the positions

PHOTO & VIDEOGRAPHER

Take and edit photos and videos at services and other church events for us to use on our website and social media pages.

CONTENT MANAGER

Write content for Facebook and Instagram posts, share or find devotions, and come up with interesting ways to keep up engagement.

MARKETING WRITER

Help compile and write content that we send out via email. Normally we try to make a newsletter once a month with events and news.

WEB DESIGNER (UX/UI)

Works with team leaders, translators, and church leadership to ensure the website is updated and functioning well. Must have experience with WordPress websites.

VISUAL DESIGNER

Design graphics to use on Sundays for ProPresenter. Create Sermon Visuals and any other marketing materials that may be needed.

MEET THE TEAM LEADER, MELANIE

Melanie is a CS & Affiliate Manager for a Mental Health app. If she could travel anywhere right now it would be Vietnam. Her favorite song currently is Sugar Cane by Faraway George. She likes reading, playing board games, and hanging out with friends and she is a night person. One of her favorite books is Redeeming Love. She speaks Afrikaans, English, Sesotho, and a little bit of Estonian and she grew up on a farm in heart of South Africa. She would like to learn how not to kill houseplants. If she could be a colour it would be Marshmallow Pink.
